I’ll get the ball started with a D’oh! Moment of my own. Here goes:
On my website I talked alot about copywriting. (that’s past tense for a reason) Copywrite this. Copywrite that.
I placed the word copywrite in my tags, keywords and content. All over my content. I felt good about myself, and whynot? I create marketing pieces, ads, articles, web content, press releases, so basically the term “copywriter” made sense - to me. Hold on…
- Here’s the D’oh! part:
Today, I found out MANY people don’t really know what copywriting is. It was suggested that I market myself as a marketing consultant to ward off confusing potential clients.
Note to self, think like your customer. Assume nada.
Gotta go.
I’ve still got a lot of rewriting to do.
